Keynote Speaker for the SCNESA 5th Annual Conference on July 15th
Laura Gonzalez, PhD, APRN, CNE, CHSE-A, ANEF, FAAN
President of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL)


The South Carolina Nursing Education Simulation Alliance (SCNESA) will be hosting the annual conference on July 15, 2022. Today you get to learn about the keynote speaker for the conference, Laura Gonzalez, Ph.D., APRN, CNE, CHSE-A, ANEF, FAAN.


Dr. Gonzalez is one of only 83 Advanced Certified Healthcare Simulation Educators (CHSE-A) worldwide. She is an internationally recognized simulation expert and an American Academy of Nurses Fellow (FAAN). She is also a fellow of the Academy of Nurse Educators (ANEF). She is the current President for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL).


Dr. Gonzalez’s career has focused on advancing the science of nursing education through the use of simulation and its impact on learner outcomes. She will be speaking about the healthcare simulation standards of best practice (HSSOBP). 


We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Laura Gonzalez as our keynote speaker for this year’s conference.

SC Nursing Education Simulation Alliance 4th Annual Conference

Due to the ongoing Pandemic restrictions, the event will be virtual again this year

For the Gateway Debriefing Workshop - this is the same workshop from June 4. Anyone involved in simulation in SC can attend FREE. If you attended June 4 and would like to attend again, please let Crystal know. The workshop is being held virtually September 11 from 9a-5p by the Harvard Center for Medical Simulation. This is an excellent one-day workshop, and more information can be found here If interested, please email Crystal to get your name on the participant list.


For those who are willing to sit for the CHSE exam, please pay exam registration upfront. Upon results of passing the exam, Crystal can refund the exam cost. The deadline to refund is May 2022. After this time, Crystal will have no additional funding to refund exam fees. For those who have taken the exam in 2021 and passed, please email Crystal asap for a refund.
