Hello! My name is Ashley Bukay and I am a new nursing faculty member at the Citadel. I teach adult health med/surg lecture and clinicals and staff open hours and simulation practice in our sim-lab. I obtained my ADN from Trident Technical College in 2010, my BSN from MUSC in 2014, my MSN from Western Governor's University in 2017, and will be completing my DNP from Chamberlin University in October of this year (2021). I have been a nurse for 11 years- primarily in the adult cardiac and vascular surgery area, as well as cardiac procedural. On a personal note, I am originally from the Chapel Hill area in North Carolina and moved to Charleston in 2007. I am divorced, have a 5 year old son (Alexander) and a cat (Maverick). I love all music, being around the water, sports, etc. I want my students to know that I am invested in their learning. My ultimate goal is to produce safe, competent, confident nurses that I would be proud to work alongside.
